Note: All classes
begin with a brief devotion and prayer. Students must be the
appropriate age for class placement in August. New students will be
placed according to TVSB teacher recommendation. All levels will use
improvisation and creative dance worship as an expression of praise
to the Lord (Psalm 149:3)
Cherubs
Introduction of a class setting for our youngest dancers. Basic
movement skills and following directions, as well as creative dance
praise will be used. AGES: 3 years (out of diapers)
Pre-Ballet I and
II
Primary movement skills include skipping, marching, leaping,
bending, and stretching using basic ballet vocabulary. Strong
emphasis on learning right and left and following directions. AGES:
3&4, 4&5
Beginning Ballet
I
Basic ballet technique as taught through the Russian Vaganova
Method. Concentration on strength, stretch, flexibility, and
artistic appreciation of this art form. Some dance history and music
application discussed along with the proper use of French
terminology. AGES: 5 through 8*

Pre-Ballet II
Beginning
Ballet II and III
Continuation of technique. AGES: 6 through 12. Intermediate,
Advanced and Pointe
By placement only. AGES: 9 and up. Boys
Only Class
Dance class for boys. Basic Ballet combined with high energy jazz,
conditioning, and stretching exercises. AGES: 7 through 12. Adult
Ballet
Beginning to intermediate ballet technique for adults with emphasis
on stretch and strength to aid our worship ministry. Joyful
Jazz
Traditional jazz technique based on Broadway style and hip-hop
dance. Contemporary Christian music used. Jazz students must be
enrolled in at least one ballet technique class. AGES: 10 and up. Trinity
Dance Company and TDC-2
Open to students 10 years and older at an Intermediate III level or
above. Dancers must audition in August, be enrolled in a ballet
class and sign an agreement for the performing year. Dues of $15.00
per month to cover costumes, travel expenses, and rehearsal time.
